  • What is Independent Living?

    Independent Living is for older, active adults who don’t require much support. Residents have the security of 24-hour medical response, individual health and wellness plans, meals provided and light housekeeping along with optional additional services.     

  • How much will it cost to live at Riverview Park?

    This will depend on the type of suite you wish to live in and the services you would like provided.      

  • Do I have to sign a contract?

    Yes. You will have to sign a lease; leases are on a month to month basis. This enables residents the flexibility of providing 30 days notice should their living requirements change. 

  • Can I get a full refund?

    Yes. Your $500.00 deposit reserves your suite, and will be applied to your first month’s rent. Should plans change, your deposit will be refunded.    

  • Are there any other costs in addition to my monthly rent?

    Your meals, activities and light housekeeping are all included in your rent. There will be additional fees for extra services, such as the hair salon, special outings and events should you choose to participate.   


  • If I drive, is there parking available for my vehicle?

    Yes. Parking is available and included in your monthly package. 

  • Is there always someone on-site to help me in case of an emergency?

    Yes. There are employees on site at Riverview Park 24 hours a day. In addition, all suites have an emergency response system in place for your safety and care.    

  • Can my special diet be accommodated?

    Yes. Our catering team will be more than happy to discuss your individual dietary requirements.     

  • Will I be able to bring my own furniture and belongings with me?

    Absolutely. This will be your home and we want you to feel comfortable and happy. Bear in mind the size and dimensions of your suite when deciding what to bring with you.   

  • Can I decorate my suite?

    Yes. We encourage you to add your own personal touches to your home. You may, at your own expense, paint or wallpaper your room, hang art and mirrors and install draperies.        

  • Can I control the temperature in my suite?

    Yes. Each suite is equipped with its own thermostat control.   


  • Can I bring my pet with me?

    Yes. Small dogs and cats are welcome. However, our pet policy does have certain restrictions on the size and number of pets. Residents are responsible for all the needs of their pet.     

  • Can my family and friends visit?

    Of course! We encourage and celebrate family and friends in our community.     

  • Can I have overnight guests?

    Yes. We require all guests to let the concierge know that they are staying the night for accountability and safety purposes.   

  • Can my guests dine with me?

    Absolutely. Your guests may eat with you in the dining room, but reservations must be made to ensure our staff makes appropriate accommodations. There will be a charge, which can be added to your monthly account.    

  • Can I smoke in my suite?

    No. Riverview Park Residence is strictly a non-smoking & vaping property.
